There are many examples of what makes Great Lakes Event Moderators a cut above. I'll cite just two in this post. -The global storyline "In the Shadow of Virtue" was generally speaking more intense and epic on GL than elsewhere. -Our interactions wit…

Apologies but I'm not seeing what the questions were.

Thank you for the map. I'm having a hard time with it but somehow I don't think that's the map-makers' fault but rather what they're mapping. Assuming I even try despite my lack of luck, in both relevant senses of that term, is Homare included at al…

Per Kyronix you need over 700 luck. https://forum.uo.com/discussion/comment/98647/#Comment_98647 I guess this means I shouldn't bother. Just as well, I need to gold farm.

Unless you're bored, don't bother. The team, much less the GMs, claims to not recognize, at all, the difference between multi-clienting using allowed tools and multi-boxing using disallowed tools.

They've never really been able to handle the Gauntlet properly except for the first few years of Age of Shadows. The real rewards now is the ability to turn the lesser wanted items into the more wanted items, using various means. But they ended up m…

"Freedom of speech" usually refers to the First Amendment to the US Constitution, which refers to governmental action. This is a privately run and owned forum dedicated to a video game. There ain't no "freedom of speech" beyond that which the owners…

Shard merges would be dumb. There currently exists systems for folks to transfer from shard to shard if they do not like their community on their current shard, be it too small or too large or whatever. (Or, in my case, too many memories.) Shard mer…

What always seems to happen, on many different forums but especially on UO-related forums, is that trolls appear and do their thing. There is a reluctance to ban them on free speech grounds and because they have vociferous supporters. (Folks love th…

It's unlikely we'll see shard mergers. That would be dumb anyway.

If you mean global events if we've heard anything I don't recall. Doubt any are in the works. EM events are ongoing. On GL we have the best. I'm starting to go to Catskills EM events and have found them fun too.

Not really a shard population solution, now is it. More like a "I want content exclusive to my playstyle" solution. Also who's to say shard population is really a problem. If folks valued big populations over other things they'd go to larger shards …

Nature's Revenge should've been the title of the Spring event with the 'fake' eggs and the champ spawn, I think.

Inconsistent enforcement of the rules has always been a problem in this game. In the early days we used to joke that the only way to get a GM to help you was to be red. However, while I can't speak for the sincerity of this particular post or not, I…

I think my favorite Halloween event (though I doubt it was conceived as an actual Halloween event, they just kind of tacked that label onto something that was planned anyway) was the Magincia demon invasion because it was integrated with the game-wi…

Given that I see an entire front page of non-locked threads, seems like an awful lot. EDIT: Ok not an entire front page, but the great majority of it. Most of the locked threads I've seen are pretty clearly designed to get locked.

Thank you everyone. I've diagnosed the issue and unfortunately it's not solvable at present. As Mariah and a couple of others gathered, unbeknownst to me, my natural Dexterity was at cap. (Last I remembered it was not but obviously that memory was …

So what's this change actually do? I couldn't quite discern it from this thread and I definitely couldn't discern it from the original post itself.
