Thought on auto follow.....
I think auto follow should be removed from the game. This games feature serves no point to be use with and i think its being used to the "Bots" advantage (which is another subject to be addressed). Also to make it really annoying is that people are auto following on me that i dont even know and i can cant do nothing about it.

Correct.

I use auto follow for my bard and if I run non-stop to virtually anywhere (especially when any sort of twist or turn) my bard ends up getting lost and stops the auto follow. If you actually watch how a legit auto follow works, the toon following looks drunk and zigzags. If I'm knocked off my mount (ie the event commanders currently) or invised, my bard stops following me. If I go through a moongate or teleproter, my bard stops following. If I click on the bard screen with my right mouse button...you guessed it my bard stops following me. I think auto follow is fine for what it is; it's convenient enough to allow me to use a second account as support, but isn't efficient enough to allow me to play as if it were someone else following me and not worry about my second account.
The scripts that are used aren't even close, all 4/5/6+ toons all perfectly follow just a few tiles behind the leader in perfect harmony and take the same direct path (no zigzag) in trail and are not "knocked off" by the leader being invised or teleported etc. They all stack perfectly on top of each other (auto follow doesn't always do this). There is no breaking the auto follow when using a script. I just saw the other day at Luna where someone had their bot train using the Luna gate... all 4 or 5 toons right behind him and once he hit the gate (the train did too) and they all simultaneously disappeared to the Honesty gate in Ilsh heading to Mistas.
On top of all of that; the GMs can also (allegedly) tell if you are using a third party client so at the end of the day auto follow doesn't even matter... the GMs know if you are using a 3rd party and should be able to action based on that alone. They have either been told don't action accounts using 3rd party or just don't care to. I mean it doesn't get more obvious that someone is scripting when all you see/hear after the boss is dead (or their toon is dead) is consecrate weapon.
The issue isn't auto follow, it's how the GMs are deciding to action accounts (rather actively not actioning accounts I guess). Removing auto follow from the game is just like basically every other "fix" for botting/scripting where all it does is hurt the legit players while the ppl using illegal clients still get an advantage.
No.
However, some players abuse this, and auto-follow another player without permission. E.g. stage 2 or stage 4 of current event, and they run script to self heal and attack nearest. This is very irritating.
@Kyronix @Community Manager
- Auto-follow should work like the Party function.
- Any player can accept, refuse, or block attempts to auto-follow by others.
- Auto-follow should also work for EC users.

I will pass along this feedback to the Devs.
It's not an issue of detecting who is cheating and who isn't...it's about actioning those that are cheating. I bet if they started banning people caught using the 3rd party clients; suddenly you would see a lot less bot trains...and people using the legal auto-follow would be fine.
If you're playing a game with a friend, let's say... Poker. And you and your friend, whom you've been friends for years, have enjoyed playing poker together. Sometimes there's money involved, sometimes there isn't. But after 10 years of playing, you find out that every hand, that friend has been starting with an ace.
It's a huge blow to you, as you realize what that has meant for your friendship all along. And on one hand, you enjoy being with your friend. And on the other, you know that friend has had an unfair advantage in the game that you agreed to play together - they broke the rules - they have violated their social contract with you.
You agree to keep playing, provided that your friend no longer holds all the cards - because you enjoy your time together and nothing really changes from your perspective, except now you are aware of your friends behavior - but for the sake of your friendship and the fun you have together, you move past it.
But your friend, who has been cheating you all this time... What do they do? Are they able to play on a level playing field? Or does their ego and pride prevent them from doing this? Is it fun for them to still play? Are the friend's graphics in the enhanced client really that horrendous, or is it just an excuse, because they fear giving up their power, that prevents them from moving on?
If the game can’t survive without people cheating then let it die. Even private servers, once the Wild West in terms of scripting, now restrict clients and scripting capabilities.
It’s a neat little mini game to stress test the ticketing system with each quarterly event, but I could do without wasting my time reporting the bots.
