Best thing is the Undead Gargoyle corpses. They can have Undead Gargoyle Medallions, Undamaged Undead Gargoyle Horns, and maybe even the Eternal Guardian Staff.

Anyone who's done the Alchemist Tier quests can tell you how much a pain in the ass it is to get the quest items to unlock Tier 3 is.

I was wondering why they stayed.  I been running around and grabbing gold and depositing it into the bank in the city.  Ill never get a plat from it but Id be able to buy some drops by January,

Forgot to mention all the paragon chests that will go poof  :(

Focus on what you can do, not what you can't.

I agree, why should Atlantic problems effect the rest of us?

This is about the fix to Atlantic lag which involves insta vanishing corpses and it's not needed anywhere else

I'm wondering if the amount of players increases the spawn.  We have plenty on LS at night. There are spots where you could stay on 2 screens of area and play, until a Horse, Lich Lord, and other para spawn at the same time on you.

No, even on Japan shards, lag is occurring during core times. I implore you not to casually dismiss addressing this issue as solely ATL responsibility.
Moreover, you have countless alternative methods to obtain medallions, horns, and gp. Would you genuinely wish to collect every single horn and medallion from undead gargoyles? The answer is unequivocally NO.

I noticed that the spawn changes depending on the Town... which Town's spawn carries the Undead Gargoyles ?

Also, does anyone know of a way, with the Classic Client, to loot specific items on a corpse "on the fly", that is, without having to spend time opening up the corpse, browsing among the various items in the corpse and finally picking up what one wants ?

When running around killing stuff to get the artifacts drops, having to stop and spend time to loot can slow down a whole lot...

If there is no looting macro for the classic client, can anyone please suggest, for players not familiar with the Enhanced Client or using Pinco's UI, a looting macro for specific items that they might want which would not slow down when having to kill the spawn to get artkifacts' drops ?

    Thank you.

If I'm not mistaken, the CC has open corpses but not looting. EC has vacuum, which is looting, but not open corpses.

So you get different halves of what you are looking for on different clients

Actually, you don't. Only the Undead Gargoyles within Medusa's Lair can drop the Medallions and Horns normally. The Undead Gargoyles that spawn as Lvl 3 of the Primeval Lich spawn, do not drop Medallions/Horns. So normally in order to get Medallions/Horns, you have to undergo the tedious process of farming Snake Eggs for Medusa, then go into her lair, fight her, and hope she has Undead Gargoyles petrified in her lair and she releases them, then hope that they drop the Medallions/Horns when killed.
If you've ever done the grind to unlocking Tier 3 Alchemist quests in Ter Mur, then you know how valuable the Tier 2 quest items are, and how much a pain in the ass they are to get. So yes, i literally have been checking every Undead Gargoyle i kill during the town invasions for Medallions in particular.

Oh, interesting... I had no idea these items were so significant. I can't say for certain if they're worth the server lag, but now I understand why they mean so much to you. If only there were a clever way to strike a balance. Maybe outfit a Paragon with ten medallions and sprout a whole bunch of horns - now that would be something XD

@Kyronix please consider before punishing Baja and Origin that we had everyone with zero lag before it went live !!

If the Hot Fix means not having MoBs corpses to loot (as it seems to look like...), I DO NOT LIKE IT !!

I do not know others, but I want corpses to loot, not just the Paragons but ALSO the regular MoBs from the invasion.

As of today, after server Maintainance, regular corpses go "poof", they do not stay and, therefore, do not permit players to loot them.

@Kyronix, BRING THEM BACK 'EM CORPSES !!

You have got to be kidding me with this?! I'm freakin livid.

The fix for Atlantic lag is the rest of us can't take part in one of the most fun bits of killing mobs? Looting them? This is one of the most f'd up things I've ever seen done as a fix.

Not everyone is the kind of player that's in such a hurry to get the turn-in drops they'll not take any time to loot anything. Neither my husband or I farm gold. There's not enough time or interest for that. I don't have a vendor making money for me while I'm not playing. I loot the gold! ffs

AND I enjoy looking at whatever goodies drop in the body. It's a BIG part of the fun, even if you don't find anything useful. It's a satisfying part of game play. And then there's the occasional, OH! That ring is pretty good! Oh! I could use those leggings!

For my rogue, as compensation for how freaking slow the spawn is of the detectable chests and crates, and how punished rogues are with the time-sink poisoning you force us to go through with every chest, I was sneaking around looting corpses. At least that made it a bit more fun and profitable.

What are you thinking??? Give us back our loot. At the very least you could have started with reducing the time the bodies stayed instead of making them all go poof instantly. This has just made me so much less interested in even logging in.

    What a terrible decision.

Can’t you work all this out for yourself?

don’t you have any sense of wonder in your life?  Why must you have everything presented to you?

it’s day 3 isn’t it?   Go out and learn for yourself.  Spend less time here asking questions and go find out

I'm with LilyGrace, PlayerSkillFTW, Grimbeard, Popps and others on this. I know there is a sizable segment of people who think that looting mobs on anything other than EM events or the roof, or some other certain encounters is a waste of time. I've heard on numerous occasions where folks will say "Why are you bothering to loot? Just kill, kill, kill as fast as you can."

Well, like LilyGrace, PlayerSkillFTW, Grimbeard, Popps and I'm sure many others that don't take the time to post here, I loot what I kill whenever possible. It's how I make the gold to buy the things I need/want because I don't have the time these days to farm gold on a regular basis and I don't have the connection, system, luck, hand/eye coordination to get drops from EM events to sell.

This fix seems to be rather drastic and indeed looks like a one size fits all remedy for a problem that seems to significantly affect one of 24 shards. I may have the number of shards wrong, but there are a lot.

Is the problem having lootable bodies to loot? Or is it overpopulation of a single shard? A better solution, I believe, would have been allowing the transfer of ToT drops to other shards, or to make the rewards not shard bound. This would allow the population to be more evenly distributed to the various shards during such events.

At the least, seems LilyGrace's idea of reducing the time that bodies remain as a starting point would have made more sense. I never timed it, but for example, if bodies remained for 1 minute after death, reduce it to 45 seconds and see how it goes. Then if that doesn't seem enough, reduce it to 30 seconds.

This solution feels more like a punishment than an enhancement of game experience. Please reconsider this "Hot Fix" and allow us to loot our kills if we so choose. This event lasts long enough that there's no need to try and get everything in the first week or two of it going live.

This HotFix has taken the wind out of my sails and my enthusiasm for this event has dropped significantly.

Devs, Please reconsider and come up with an alternative solution. @Kyronix

In a world of billionaires,  which I am not, it was nice to kill stuff and loot the gold.  In minutes you could get 20k to 40k and run to the bank and go again. Least I could feel my fat wallet.

@popps CC has an open corpse option if In war mode.
ClassicUO client has open corpse and single click to loot. Don't have to be in war mode.

As long as I can loot the paragon i'm happy with that.. I was curious to understand the reasoning behind that.. if this is about ATL and a question of fairness, I can deal with that.

Even if personally the first idea that would come to mind for a shard like ATL would be a triple town invasion.. x3 the invasion on seperate "server" should help for the lag.
So rather than recognise the effort the botters went to, to set all that up - for the benefit of the players, to help get certain items, something you could never be bothered to do, you would rather drag people backwards to your neanderthal world?

Well remember to use the anti loot totem...

KroDuK's idea seems like a good one. I have no idea how or if it can be coded that way. But yes, spreading out the invasion on a very crowded shard to separate "servers" would seem to help alleviate Atlantic's problem.

I'm sure there will be folks who will say "Why does Atlantic get something that others don't?" All I can say is that not everything should be one size fits all. Just like many say to the Atlantic players, why don't you move to a less populated shard, I say to those who may not like Atlantic having 3 cities invades simultaneously, while other shards may only have one at a time, "Move to Atlantic if you want 3 cities at a time.".

I didn’t realize this had already been suggested until I mentioned the idea to my husband and he said KroDuk already brought it up.

Yes, if it’s at all possible, have multiple towns spawn at once to disperse the population. Hell’s bells, let them all spawn at once as far as I’m concerned. If breaking things up so the population is spread out on the various sub-servers works then do it.

It’s worrisome to me though that Atlantic players are saying this hasn’t been this big an issue before with other ToT events. That leads me to believe it may be something else that’s the issue. But if spreading the population out helps, it’s a better solution than punishing all the rest of the shards by taking their loot away. Which apparently hasn’t really helped with the lag anyway.

My memory is not as sharp as it used to be but last 2 to 5 weeks of Tokuno/Samurai event was as laggy.

I remember trying to get my hands on extra few items and getting very frustrated.

Oh, ok. I’ve no way to know. I was just going by what I read others say about it not being a problem as bad as this before.
