Agreed on the reduction of drops not being ideal. Also, I previously used portions of fortune (twice) and it didn't help at all. I doubt it'll help now, too

While I understand running gargoyles can be a burden, especially due to the lack of a true ear slot, I think it adds depth to the game. I think a new race, particularly Orcs, would offer an opportunity to also take lessons learned and move forward.
