The Enchanted Forest - June 18th 9PM EDT - Fiction
Looking down into the reflecting pool Droquam the wizard called upon his minions to see what the hold up was. Cast out and banished to the enchanted forests of Umbra, Droquam used his waning powers to cast a binding spell over the wildlife here to do his bidding. Over the last hundred years the wizard has demanded the creatures do his hunting and gathering to provide for him. Satyr, his house slave was to oversee the provisions brought back from the minions and take care of his house chores. The leprechaun’s have been bringing him mushrooms and wild grasses used in the cooking. The fairies bringing sweet honey and fresh water to fill his well; flying until they fell from the sky in exhaustion. The dryads commanded to bring firewood for the very hearth they were forced to build upon his arrival. Harpies swoop down on small prey and deliver the fresh meat to his door. “Where are these filthy creatures?” he bellowed at the dark waters. As images start to swirl within the depths dread settles upon him as he sees the minions locked in battle in civilization. “Satyr!” swinging around and grabbing his slave by his horn, he drags him to the water. “What is this? Why are they out of the forest?!” Wringing his small hands together and nervously stamping a cloven hoof upon the floor the flustered slave responds. “W-w-well sir, there has been an intruder in the forests taking the edibles. Th-th-the minions haven’t been able to find the things y-y-you demand and they have tried to track them down to void your wrath Oh great One.” Trying to bow before him while the wizard still held him by a horn was less than successful. Pushing the satyr away in disgust the wizard turned back to the reflecting pool clutching the edges and seething in anger. “Filthy creatures, worthless. If they don’t end up dead I will kill them myself!”
Fear starts crawling along his spine as realization starts to set in. If creatures from the enchanted forest are attacking the town, it will not be long until the people will set upon his forest. They will come for him. If any were to find out about the power that he had been building for his revenge they will surely try to kill him before he is ready. He must hurry, time was running out.
