I see a bad cycle on Discord. For a while it was very active, talking about the new publish. Lots of good info. Then it calms down, new topics, then a couple of PvP came in. All the good stuff is hidden behind 55 unrelated messages now, they still going.

I keep saying it, discord for discord things Forums for forum things. Discord is not a forum, and won't replace one. I get the reason they don't want to spend the money on updating the forums but wish they would. If they don't that is fine and I'll use the ones i was using before these existed. As far as the information contained in it, I am good with just deleting it since the important parts are on the Wiki and in @Mariah's safe hands. @Rorschach

I had to get a link from someone to find the TC area. I got TC Gen chat, But lost Feedback and Bugs area, I cant find them again. You have to subscribe to channels, and if they make a new one that u dont know about, too bad.

Just remember that if you can't find a channel, you can add it here and make it visible

Yep this was my worry too.... things get lost too easily on discord.

Perfect, thanks. No wonder I kept getting invited to voice chats. Lots of the switches were turned on.
Not sure I ever met Donovan, Tyrath of course has taught me a lot. even with him having quit UO for a couple of years, i'll ask him what's best for this or that and he'll rattle it off without hesitation lol

Ok so I think I just found a major flaw in Discord from the Forums @Community Manager....
Aside from not being able to separate lines in a single post... we can't tag Broadsword members in our posts?? So... umm...how do we ensure someone from the team is actually looking at our post and it's not lost in a massive pile of posts??
What the alternative here? A DM which nobody else sees to know if the same thing was already mentioned...and also can be siloed between that person and the Dev. That doesn't really seem like collaboration.
Moving to Discord is starting to give me a sense of less communication and less ability to actually engage with the Dev team.
Note - I'm trying to use the UO server (so still not great with it) and there are literally dozens of channels (General Chats / Test Center / etc) ) on the left hand side and I don't even have them all checked to show. How exactly is a Dev member going to look through every single post/thread to see if someone is asking for their feedback on a topic. At least with the forums if I post in a thread buried (like Skill & Stats here) that nobody ever visits; I can tag someone so they at least get an idea of where I'm at.... poor design for Discord IMO.

I suppose the question is, if you're looking for feedback? Reporting a Bug? Asking a question? All of those fall under their respective threads. "Feedback", "Report a Bug" and "Five on Friday Questions". You're always welcome to DM me and if I cannot answer it, I will ask the Dev team. If there is a question that falls under a "this would be a good thing to post", then I can always forward it to Mariah with the answer. I know it's a big change for people to go from the forum to the Discord, but it is a positive one. The Development team I can *assure* you looks at the Feedback, Bugs and Five on Friday threads. If there is absolutely anything I can do to help make things easier for you or anyone else for the Discord, please, let me know. I am always around, happy to help!

But Ya the choice tonight was to skill up the new Big Butt Horse to see how squishy it is or do Matriarch runs.
I have skilled many pets on Test center.

They are the reason for many pet ability nerfs. Paralyze was one of the first. 2 Reptalons with paralyze would never allow the target to move.

There will be the new Hue Dragons the first day!
