[UO Fan Site] Discord limitations and new UO Fan Site

Following the publication of the 2026 roadmap announcing the closure of the forum, I decided to migrate some of my posts.

When I went to add one of my guides to Discord, I discovered that I couldn't add all the text I wanted, that I was limited, and that I couldn't add photos in the exact place I wanted either; it was only possible as an attachment.

I also remembered that a member of my guild, like other players I have met in the game, is banned from Discord due to country restrictions.

As a result, I decided to create a UO Fan Site where my posts would not be limited.

So from now on, I will be posting my main content on The Fellowship of Sosaria website:

@Community Manager  @Mariah , if you have access to the section https://uo.com/fansites/ and can add my website, I would appreciate it.

See you in Sosaria.

While Fan Sites are a great resource for games, my impression is, that when compared to official sites, sometimes their longevity not necessarily keeps up with the longevity of the game... maintaining and upkeeing it costs time and sometimes also money so, it is not a given that fan sites can last as long as games last...

I would much rather prefer that content related to a game and that can be helpful to players gets stored on official sites rather then fan sites.

In m opinion, at least the official UO Discord Channel should therefore allow players, when posting UO related knowledge, Guides and the likes, not to be subject to the text limitation which you mentioned.

All that matters is that the site shows up during a search.  Then it is accesable.

I posted on stratics.  Then just screenhot the post so the pics and words were in the correct place.
Focus on what you can do, not what you can't.
