  hmm, i'd imagine there would be this system, whereby players (a person who plays the game) could receive items. Possibly by searching a fallen foe, or by magical, instantaneous appearance in said players pack, once a creature of sufficient renown was slain. Quite possibly, they could be found inside of a treasure chest, or perhaps, shadily acquired from Suleiman, in the alley behind the Cat's Lair Tavern in Britain.

  My imagination and previous game experience suggests a circular route by which eggs are traded for maps, which supply eggs to trade in for more maps?

  It wouldn't be a circle but a spiral.

  Edit: just in case.. cuz you know.
  Here is the drawing: a spiral u start big end up tiny or on the contrary.. what I believe gonna happen u start small and end up big on the nest map supplies. (this is why they do not announce it now but at the END of the event)
  
  Cuz the supply gonna spiral, on the higher ends I believe.. and some people could get mad to have invest that much energy into them during the temporary event missing on other stuff for nest.. instead of playing fair game with the fully, late, announcement.. they gonna be like too bad, when it's going be too late anyway.. so cry me a river.
  
  Cuz yeah.. announcement during; btw those eggs.. btw this is perm content.. btw no one knows on the details *wink wink* DURING the event. It's an Alpha; they already know.. now, figure out why no one else does.. no way u can half ass something like that DURING the event.
  
  PPS were already telling them in 2024 that Manifestation of Evil was good perma content.. to enhance a "dead" treasure hunter content... no way this was not prepare.. it was LIVE testing this time knowing it would be perm; they have a plan or this is VERY alarming.
  
  
  TL;DR announcing it now they would pretty much kill the matriarch content for the pleb DURING the event.
  They prefer a cry me a river scenario when it's too late, over ruining a major part of their temporary event and getting call out where it matters to them.. doing good temporary NL event. The MAIN content of UO.

  So rather than recognise the effort the botters went to, to set all that up - for the benefit of the players, to help get certain items, something you could never be bothered to do, you would rather drag people backwards to your neanderthal world?
  
  Leave attended paying accounts alone, these people go thru a lot of trouble to automate the game.
