Please create a deco egg turn-in for mature egg reward

Since this game started people have asked for dragons they could ride. The current pet is awesome, and very few people have it. Myself and several others I play with have been grinding this event trying to get one of these new mount pets. Please please for the love of Sosaria create a turn in guy who accepts the deco dragon eggs and let us trade them in for a Mature Umbrascale egg. Even if the ratio is super high like 300 or 500 deco eggs to get 1 mature egg, it at least gives people a guaranteed chance at the new pet if they never get one to drop through the current way.

I agree that the current drop rate for a Mature egg is way, but way too low whether one tries the Hidden Chests, the Matriarch fight or the Nests Treasure Maps.

And this extremely low drop rate, I seem to understand, is even when using very high Luck !!

While chatting about the ongoing Event with another player, I was told by a veteran player who was doing Hidden Chests with maxed out worn Luck + Luck Statue + Luck Clock (something like a very high total of 5,500 Luck for an hour if I understood it correctly...), that there did not seem to be much differences from the used Luck in getting Mature eggs to show up in Hidden chests... not even stealable effigies seemed to be more likely to appear when using that much Luck for an hour as compared to not using that much Luck when off of the Luck Statue and Luck clock...

I get the impression that, if Luck gets factored in as a bonus to the drop rate, this bonus is probably very very low (+1% ??), so low that it does not have much of a practical result in getting Mature eggs or stealable effigies to finally show up.

+1 on this request. A limited time high demand item like a rideable dragon should NOT be based on RNG. Maybe I just have a bad taste in my mouth from Mistas and steadily grinding it the entire time with multiple accounts to never get an obelisk, but at least the obelisk is just deco.

@Community Manager - Are we able to get an update from @Parallax about the deco egg "collector" he mentioned 2 weeks ago?

Since Parallax's update 2 weeks ago I've been saving my eggs I get from the nests or the matriarch and I'm reaching max storage on all my houses (even a new one I just placed with an account I resubbed).

They could use the dragon turtle mechanics to grow and hatch a rideable dragon. Time to incubate could be linked to the quality of the egg. Flawless eggs could hatch faster then an ordinary egg. Damaged and cracked eggs of course wont hatch anything.

I only support the egg turn in idea because keven has gathered so many eggs. Other wise i'm in favor of hatching them.

Wouldn't it be easier (and faster) just to turn up the spawn rate for Mature eggs across all their sources of spawn... Hidden Chests, Nest Maps and the Matriarch drop ?

I said the same thing during Mistas event.... then proceeded to go the entire event without a single Obelisk. I said the same thing for the "Purple/pink" mares and it took over 2 months (and many totems) to get my only one.

The hatching idea is actually pretty creative and would be cool. I do think that might be more coding to do but I like it.

This is an assumption but I'm guessing it's less work to throw a vendor up that accepts eggs. I think a good happy medium would be to treat these eggs like the fractured veil points we got from doing the event on NL.... you have a chance at getting a mature egg by doing the event (ie chests / nests / matriarch) but you can also collect points (eggs) that at X amount allow you to buy stuff.

While doing Matriarchs on Atl, I've gotten over 600 drops, At least 400 eggs. Scores of trees, 5 Clothing, 1 Mature egg.

Maybe 1000 eggs gets a dino skele. If they are just giving away rewards, why do I bother playing?

Well, different people have different ideas on what playing could be... yet, there could be players who might argue that repetitive, rinse and repeat same activities "farming" for long, long times, in a computer game, to their liking, might not be enjoyable "playing" but merely a necessary, repetitive activity to get something in that game achieved...

Of course, it depends on who one asks to... yet, I wonder if this might have anything to do with some players using scripts and using BOTs to get things done in the game which would otherwise take too much of their time to get done... oh well...

I like the Matriarch on Atl. I can shop, get a drop, shop get a drop, Rinse and repeat.

Some rewards should be rare, it is fun to have things like that in game too. Also those items are not account bound, so you can buy them anyway.

1 plat is price for basic purple egg now on Atlantic. 500 drops is the cost for Umbrascale Ryuuma. Ryuuma is 100 mil currently. So you need 5000 drops. 100 drops (even more) is possible in 1h. So it is 50h of farming

I'm not sure how many accts you are using to do the matriarch but if it's just 1 or 2 that's 50-100+ matriarchs which is probably more than some shards have seen in total, period.

This event seems like it definitely suits you if all you do is "shop" / bank sit because you will see every matriarch compared to someone like me who is actively playing the game in the dungeon or elsewhere and have no idea if/when the matriarch spawns unless someone spams in GenChat offering a gate to the boss. Sitting around waiting for matriarch coords isn't really "playing the game" in my opinion so I'd say the exact same thing as you with a slight tweak... if there is a (decent) chance I will never get the grand prize, why do I bother (actually) playing the game?

It's funny how short sighted you are and your tendency to put the blinders on without considering others. If you don't experience and issue, there isn't one and if you get a drop then the event is working fine... you don't ever stop to think about the majority. You play hours upon hours and have decided to spend that time playing a non-home shard... and from the sounds of it you just sit around shopping until the matriarch spawns. That doesn't work for many people because they don't have the hours upon hours to play or maybe don't play ATL or want to sit around for hours a day waiting for the matriarch to spawn; they want to actually play the game. So what about the people who don't subscribe to your playstyle, they are just out of luck even though they are actively playing the event but only getting deco eggs?

The Matriarch spawns on Atl every 30 minutes. I've had quite a few 12+ hour days. I use up to two tamers which cycle on and off Atl bringing the goodies home.

One of my guys is using a new Ascedent, it is at 80% training just from the Matriarch. That guy came over this week.

I've also gotten 3 new pets to over 105 chivalry since this began. I can watch him on LS while waiting for her gaze on Atl.

Yes that's why I'm doing it on Atlantic, more chances for the main drop, and I find the laggy fight fun. Don't worry, this lasts till February.

I'm the gate maker, which allows you nest hunters to pop in Luna and take a Gate to the boss.

I like how you call the Matriarch lag fest on Atl, actually playing the game.

Im all for some type of turn in for the eggs for a mature one, but I agree they would need to do it soon as alot including myself are just dropping them after collecting over 200 of them. I dont mind a bit of grinding for rare stuff but there should be some sort of guaranteed return, as in yes you might get lucky and get one soon, or have to grind it out but you will get one in the end. To put in ALOT of time and face the possibility of getting nothing isnt good. As my main is a tamer im totally focused on getting myself a Juvenile Umbrascale and no I dont have 500 mil or 1 plat to buy one.

I have been doing this for 3 weeks straight now almost for 8-15 hours a day (I work from home and hurt my leg so stuck just relaxing not obsessed with gaming or anything

) and I've 0 mature eggs to show for it.

I've done chest, nest, and the boss (high and low luck) and nada... I think this is the first time I have ever not wanted to log in because I am so burned out on trying to get this one item from the game (I would like all hues to display/use but that's seeming less likely at this point)... and like others are saying because it's limited it stinks and the fact on small populations shards I've seen the boss spawn maybe 3-4 times since it started so it makes it harder unless I'm logging in and out constantly checking Atlantic for a boss spawn because I don't really want to just sit in town on Atlantic just waiting around/wasting my day.

For those saying "you can just buy them with gold" A. where is the fun in that? B. not everyone can afford the 1-3p+ price and I'm sure some reseller with a ton of plat is going to buy them all up once this is done so they can just resell them at an insane price as well.

The problem with making items like the Mature eggs so hard to get, is to risk players to alienate wanting to play the game... it only benefits those power gamers who script, multiplay with various accounts and use those unofficial clients which permit controlling multiple accounts at once.

These power gamers get these items just fine and sell them for lots, benefitting from their scripting, multiplaying and using unofficial clients that permit to do things in the game which the official clients do not allow players to do.

Casual players ? They get the short end of the stick... spend countless hours of repetitive farming and end up with empty hands and, if they want that item, they then need to buy gold with real money to be able to afford the ridicolous price tags that these items fetch in the game.

To me, this is all wrong, dead wrong as it has a risk to eventually drive players away from the game.

One thing is an item being reasonably rare, an entire other is making it absurdedly rare so that a player needs to resort to scripting, multibotting and using unofficial clients to use multiple accounts thus to multiply their chances at such ultra rare items. A type of gameplay which casual players are not interested in... they just loose interest in the game and just migrate to play other games...

And Ultima Online looses players...

Casual players, to my opinion, should have a reasonable way to earn items in the game and not have to use their real money to buy gold so as to be able to afford items in the game which cost too much because of their absurd difficulty in getting them unless one can run at once multiple accounts.

That is at least the way I see it.

Also (asbestos suit on) why not have the matriarch on a timer on Atl, kinda like they did with Mistas. Only allow one nest per hour on Atl.
