Rifted Crown Rewards - Which to choose

I am just getting back into playing after 10+ years away and have been slowly collecting points during the event. Curious what the more knowledgeable players think the best reward items are. Mostly unsure between the various clothing/armor/spellbook which is the best (or most difficult to find a similar type item for cheap). Thanks for the help!

If you have none of them.  All the armor is good
    .
Focus on what you can do, not what you can't.

    First...welcome back!

Assuming your question is about what to choose for yourself (and not resell for max money) then it's going to depend on what you have already on your toon and what you need. For example the Balron Bone (previous event from last year) chest might be something you can still get on ATL (or maybe you already have it) and the Balron Bone is the exact same stats as the current event's void plate chest (the Balron gives +3 lower mana cost though).

It depends on your template, but if you are talking about the 200pt spellbook then I'm guessing mage? If you are a mage then getting the faster casting 1 sash is a must (I'd actually get 2 in case the first one wears out) as it's widely considered a best in slot item (if not the best). I'm assuming you have (or a going to build) some sort of luck suit so the luck boots would be a must to have and lastly the veilkeeper's branch would be something to think about if you wanted to free up +20 med points; it also bumps luck but it won't be a max luck item so don't get it for just that.

Personally, I'd wait on the 200pt spellbook until you build your chars up to be able to get drops easier; there is a 50 SDI book in every event and IMO it's not a must have (there are MANY 40-45 SDI books around for relatively cheap).

If you are newer and have a warrior than the talisman on there is the poor man's Enchantress Cameo which I'd say is a must and in that case you can get a few to get the different slayers. The 5 HCI sash would be a potential target for a warrior as well. Same with the quiver (for the stamina & SSI) but again...similar to a previous item and not always an upgrade.

Outside of that the other items are very toon specific and you could probably live without them. The tabbard is a nice stat booster but again the archlich robe that is pretty plentiful from a previous event (at least on ATL) is probably more useful since you can get "enough" stats from legendary armor.  Another honorable mention is the thief chest piece... it's +20 stealing and stealth so any item with +40 usable points it's interesting to me.... that said the cheaper route is to use the similar stat item (less resists) shadow dancer legs from Doom.

If you give more info about your toon and what you have / are looking to do we can probably give more directed advice.

Thank you for the super detailed write up! Thats exactly what I was looking for. A lot of the items seem to have great stats, but helpful to know which ones are more unique and difficult to find replacements for. The mage sash sounds like the way to go first! My two main toons are a mage/tamer and a swords/chiv/bushido.

People buy the drops anywhere from 200k to 300k.

To Rocko's point...nothing is going to sell for more than a few 100k per point until the event ends.

From there it's tough to know for sure what items will be "good profit" because my first thought is the FC 1 sash due to it being arguably a best in slot item... but that means that everyone is likely stocking up on those. I can see them being worth a good bit long term(years down the road). Same with the luck boots... best in slot luck amount but I;m sure people are stocking up and unlike PvP (for the FC 1 sash) the luck items don't wear out quickly so this would likely be of value to people who are building a new luck suit. Again might be high value in like 4-5 years if they aren't brought back.

I think the things that are less obvious might be the things that are instantly going to get a bump in price like the thief tunic or the +20 med shield item because people are likely aren't stockpiling those. Those items might be worth even more if a future item comes out to compliment them.

I think the "safe" play is probably the slayer tali. Especially for something like Fey. Again the value of these could get a large bump (for specific slayers) if the next event we get we need Reptile slayer.

In summary, it's hard to give you an exact item that will be worth more down the road bc it's going to depend on the supply/demand after the event ends which is impossible to predict (at least for me).

Keven makes some good points.  The talis have good appeal, the sash as well.  The issue is the amount of riftborne drops people are farming using multiple "methods".  These in turn flood the market with reward items and in theory should keep prices down.  The problem there is that "gold" is so devalued that prices are hyperinflated for almost everything.

One other late addition that I think could be a sneaky pick is the tabard with the stats (+4 all stats and some SDI & DI). I don't think it's an outright better option than the archlich robe right now, but with the seemingly increased focus on PvP from the Devs (future releases) there could be an item or 2 down the line that would make this tabard more used and there might be a shorter supply.
