This is when I fail to understand Developers' thinking...

Upon killing the Event Boss, one gets a Satchel as we all know, for participating to the Event...

The Satchel can have, aside from some crafting materials and gold, a much wanted Obelisk, a Banner, a Void Cube, Artifact Drops to turn in, or Rubble which hardly anyone wants, seeing how it is discarded all over the ground...

Now, I understand having some rewards be rarer then others but, frankly, I fail to understand why to fill up an entire reward Satchel of rubble which hardly anyone wants... I see it as a bummer after such a fight and multiple deaths, likely...

Why would the Developers not, for example, mix Rubble and Artifact drops for turn in points or, make it Scorched Rubble which seems to be a harder type of Rubble to get ?

My point being, after such a hard fight, a player should not be left pretty much "empty handed" as it may happen when one gets a Satchel full of Rubble... that is at least my point of view...

I still have yet to get an Obelisk after hundreds of satchels so IMO the drop rate is either insanely low on those or I just have the worst RNG in the world.

While I agree about the rubble, it's by far the worst reward IMO, I think it's due to the fact that it's also the most common to get outside of the satchel (from the siege / the reavers in mistas / hidden chests) so when you get a bag of 5 (especially if none are scorched) it seems like a let down. That said, I'd put the void cube as my second least favorite drop (at this point) bc you also get those from chests & the siege and I have like 35 of them now. I will say though that I've gotten enough rubble satchels to tell you that some of them do actually come with 4 rubble + 1 void cube + 1 void frag OR 5 rubble and a void frag so you do get a little bit of a mix there.

My whole beef with the drop rate for stage 3 (satchels) is that it's a very finite number per day (max 4) and you need to be playing at a certain time. Yesterday morning I woke up 30min later than usual and that was enough for me to miss the 7:30am Champ and the next 2 hours I was able to play was a wash. If stage 3 was more like Krampus or MoE where the Champ was able to be summoned every 30-60min then I'd be fine with the drop rates and getting rubble because I'd get 1 or 2 chances to get a satchel every day regardless of when I was able to play.

Same thing as Krampus rewards.  The titles get dropped on the ground.

@popps this ends Sept. 1st.  They are not going to change anything now or in the future,  they have certain items that are weighted and the customers like getting the rare things and trying to get the rare things.  Not everyone will get the rare things.

In the past 'rubble' has been a very popular drop. How were they to know, ahead of time, that this time was going to be different?

I think the rubble is a good drop for deco purposes. I'm looking forward to seeing what folks come up with for using it, I hope people will post their designs. I do think it's overkill on the amount you get. And if the pieces had been worth a few points for clean up it would be less objectionable for those who aren't interested in it and would reduce the hoarding, imo.

I'm not sure why devs never want to start off assigning ANY clean up points to items. What's it going to hurt? Is it a Don't want to take the time to put the coding in for it thing? Or a Players haven't earned the right to clean up points yet thing? Because the latter is kinda stingy and counterproductive in terms of keeping item count down.

This is the answer. The market demands changed. They were unable to anticipate this.

My problem with the rubble is that it takes up lockdown space...so even with how cool the energized or scorched walls look; I'm just too tight on lockdowns to give up 25-50 lockdowns to build a cool wall... same with void cube.

I wished they made them like the masonry walls and became lockdown by double clicking and didn't consume a lockdown.

Void cubes are not as tall as Mysterious cubes, it takes 1 or two more void cubes to build the same height wall.  Takes 6 per wall. (have to raise each piece up one or it takes 7.)

Here is my rubble wall.  I'm going to re do it after the event, but gives you an idea.

The rubble needs 3 to 4 per wall to make one that has not fallen apart.

The mistake, to my humble opinion, was to make same type and shape pieces not stackable.
Players do not have infinite storage, unfortunately, and while rubble "could be used" for home building and designing, the simple fact that pieces do not stack, makes many players with storage issues have to discard them on the ground.

I think this has been an oversight, same type and shape pieces should have been designed from start as being stackable AND, assign to them a Clean Up Britannia point value.

Furthermore, as @keven2002 said, to have players use these Rubble pieces for home building, they should have been made not to consume a lockdown...

Furthermore, to my opinion, since rubble is awarded when fighting to open the Gates, for the Boss fight, a much harder fight, the chance at the rarer "Scorched" rubble pieces should have been increased thus making the getting of a Satchel bag full of Rubble from fighthing the hard final Boss fight not a total bummer if a Scorched piece or 2 get to be in the lot...

Popps wants to keep everything no matter how useless it is.  So he wants every type of thing to take 1 lock down.  He is not mad that rubble is a drop, he is mad they do not go into his 1 space box that holds Rubble.

I feel that not having cleanup value will allow items to pass to someone that wants it.  It may take years until they get the item they will use because it has been sitting in someone's stash who is greedily keeping it for years hoping it will be worth something.  Find a new or returning player, it will be worth something to them.

Players need to drop stuff on the ground they don't want.  Make a rubble house next to a farm and enjoy playing a game.  Games are made for enjoyment, correct?
