Voidbane Elixir Slayer type

Does anyone know if this elixir works on creatures in ter mur? I need to kill some Anlorvaglems to get the ingredients and wondering if once I make 1 potion will it speed up my resource collection.

If this elixir is going to be pretty much useless after the event and really only useful during the event then I'm not sure it is worth 100 rift points. I do like my alchemist to have recipes but I'd still way that with burning 100 pts.

Does the elixir work on spell books?  I would not mind a 25 SDI void slayer spell book.

It does...you can apply it to a 50% SDI book  :D

no way. how does that work? I'm assuming on weapons that you use an oil cloth and you can remove it. It is temporary, right?? How do you remove from the spellbook?

    It's on timer

Thanks, Grimbeard.  I made some and used it and noticed the 1 hr timer. I guess 200% DI is at least some pretty good damage. Otherwise, I'm not wild for only 1 hr for the ingredients it needs. I'm not super stoked about spending 100 rift pts on it, but oh well. At least 1 more recipe down. I won't be making much.

The damage output with the elixir vs without is very noticeable when killing stuff (including the commanders). I think it's worth it for the event; in fact I love that they add rewards that help with the current event (ie slayer type of whatever mobs are being fought) because it makes it feel like things got easier after grinding.

My only question is if the elixir is going to have any use AFTER the event...

Yup, the items created from a recipe should be useful after the event, perhaps for collecting Void Fragments from killing Void creatures. Void Fragments are require another recipe.

E.g. I made Caddellite infused weapons years ago but those were only only for the event. It was a waste of imbuing resources.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

    I don't believe that's the purpose

I have been trying the elixir when the gate is busted and we enter Mistas, and I definitely see I'm doing more damage to most of the commanders (and obviously the various reaver types). I feel like I'm consistently getting 4 artifacts at a time, versus mostly 3 and sometimes 4 before that.  This is only with 4-5 runs with the elixir, so not the best sample size and at this point it could be a bit of RNG in the mix and I may end up with an average of 3.5 or something going forward.

And I've recently changed up some jewelry and experimenting with some armor, and have noticed I'm burning through a lot more arrows - it's to the point in recent days where I am running back to previous commanders whose corpses are public for a few dozen arrows (most carry 24, some carry more) vs going home and then running back from Honesty and missing out on a commander.

BUT I know I am doing more damage to some of the commanders at least. While the consistent (so far) 4 drops per is nice, when you look at everything, it would probably be better to only use the elixir in the dungeon, because it's at most probably 5 additional artifacts per Mistas event (as I said, getting 3-4 per commander before), and I could get a lot more with an hour in Ankh.

I'm going to go without elixir with my current setup and see how that works.

    Cool, let us know.

I hate they take void cores to make cause I'm saving those to make Eldritch Arms.

You won't. In CC if you single click (or hover with tool tips on) you will see the mobs in dungeon say something like "of Riftborne" or something like that; it's the same sort of tag that all mobs from previous events get which essentially enables them to give drops. It worked the same way when we had the caddelite slayer in Khuldan. In a nutshell, that is the tag that the slayer works on and not so much the name of the mob (ie void X in ter mur).

If you ever see a "commander" spawn in Mistas it's first labeled "Void Commander" before it resets to whatever their name is.

I hate that cause it would be nice to be able to use it to collect void ingredients and the ingredients needed to make it in the first place.

I haven't killed a lot of void-touched creatures in Ankh dungeon. Are they dropping void fragments and void cores? Actually, I could see them drop the fragments because I've gotten 1 in my satchel drop from the final boss, but cores would be nice too.

The chests are where you will get the ingredients which include void frags/orbs/blackrock stuff; and obviously from the champ satchel as well. Mobs in the dungeon only drop riftborne items (aside from paragon chests etc on the corpses).
