Vampiric embrace Why?

My understanding is that utilizing vampire form in necromancy gives life leech and poison resist. It seems the main idea is that as some type of warrior vampire you will auto-heal by regaining some health based on how hard you hit.

I have tons of weapons with very high Life Leech property on it. Does the vampiric embrace and curse weapon stack with this property?

How is having a sampire same or better than just a paladin with a life leech weapon?

@azuldemogogu VE gives 20% perma fixed guaranteed life leach/drain of the damage dealt, your wep leach (say 81 on double axes) is the the chance to leach a RANDOM number of life/mana/stam.  At least thats how i understand it and the reasoning for having necro

Curse Weapon adds on top of Vampiric Embrace. It’s generally not needed for Sampires because it requires Spirit Speak. The points are better spent ensuring you deal as much damage as possible.

The leeching is more consistent than a weapon, and the poison immunity is nice. However, vampire form isn’t that overpowered by itself. It’s the combination with Bushido and Whirlwind, in addition with things like Perfection, Confidence, Counter Attack, and Evasion that make it stupid. And regardless, many Sampires are able to fit something like 80 Chivalry on their template if you lack proper slayer or damage type.

So in short: A sampire can accommodate enough damage, enough life leech, and enough Chivalry that makes the Paladin not very relevant, but even disregarding life leech all melee pretty much need Bushido.

Sounds pretty cool. Thanks for clearing it up. So, with it perma 20% of damage dealt then it really is all about trying to hit with as much damage.
