EM Events, we do not understand anything

Hello, me and my friend we are new players, we started 1 months ago, we did tonight our 2nd event on Europa server, and as first time, at my side, I died something like 45 times, and at the end of the event, nothing, not even 1 gold in my back pack. I can't loot any corpse, not the right to do it, I can't loot any boss killed, as can't find any corpse of boss....Anyone can explain what is a EM event, and what is the purpose of it ? Thank you in advance

    It's strictly for off sharders to come multibox and sell rewards or take drops to Atlantic shard bound would fix this instantly

    If you do like 4 EM events with no drop you have a high chance on the next one for a drop.

    Damage given, damage received, healing others.  Those factor into the "points".
    Focus on what you can do, not what you can't.

    EM Events are meant to be community events held by Event Masters for a shard. Usually these events have overarching plot lines specific to the shard. The first EM event of the month (per shard) usually has a unique drop item relating to the plot line, and this item is dropped by the final boss of said event, and only a limited number of players will recieve one. Sometimes these events can include lore pages, which are usually dropped by the mobs of the event. It is highly recommended to have a fully trained character with high power gear to stand a realistic chance in the combat encounters of these events.

    As Grimbeard stated, however, these events are plauged with off-shard multi-boxers/scripters looking to snipe drops to sell.

    While true, one other side of the argument is that making it shard bound might hurt the participation (especially in low pop shards) of these events from genuine players who come to these events away from their primary shard in the hopes to get a reward to bring back to their home shard.
