What's your weirdest template?
Most of us know sampires and all sorts of standard builds. What is your weirdest build? One of mine is one super mage with spellweaving, mysticism, necro and a bit of magery... I don't even know what I wanted him to do.. other than be a lord of magic.. and focus on non-magery spells.
What weird builds have you created and for what purpose?

That sounds like a interesting template too!
Was a fun template when taming greater dragons and rune beetles.. Can stealth around Loring them till I find a good one then herd it to another location to tame... Also can herd my pet to where I want it to go while in stealth with no commands revealing me.
Hiding and Stealth because he is my dungeon fisher and protector for Felucca champ spawns. I find having Hiding / Stealth is hugely beneficial for both of those activities.
Magery, eval, and med to move about, invisibility, and for dealing with any creatures on the sea or in the dungeons.
Camping because he sometimes needs to log out in strange places, like dungeons, or near to Felucca champ spawns.
Stealth ninja tamer
Mystic thrower
I have a mage with healing and anatomy. He relies on wraith form for mana.
I've tried numerous templates on test center. Some off the top of my head that I couldn't get to work:
A mage summoner who would have Animal Lore and Vet for healing summons
A pure stealth ninja
Anything decent that relies on poison mastery
A melee wrestler
A caster wrestler that uses wither or thunderstorm to benefit from Rampage
A "mana shield" tank, like the inverse of a sampire
Decent mage weapon PVM template
Melee spellweaver
Melee tamer
Melee bard
I'd like to try a few out like:
Mystic samurai -- Myst, Focus, Bush, Parry, Resist, Tact (uses Mystic Weapon, probably garg)
Garg mystic weaver -- Myst, Focus, Spellweaving, Resist, Mage, Med
Stealth Ninja mage -- Mage, Eval, Ninj, Poisoning, Med, Hiding, Stealth (80)
You really missed out. My thief temp has made some serious bank between spawners and VvV.
Mage wep pvm temp! (Mage-Tame-Lore-Vet-Music-Discord) You need to use a magical shortbow since it has more imbue points for slayer-mana leech. My old temp didn't utilize all the SS items so i had to skimp on SC and add more into SS. The shortbow is fast. With disco the slayer will hit for 80-90 per hit. Can also swap music/disco for weave/med or use mage heals and swap vet for Weave.
Melee weaver-tamer and bard templates are also easier with ranged weps. The melee weaver you want to run in wraith form for the mana leech. Kind of like a half Whammy with weave.
2) Kyra - originally held the traditional ninja template with healing and anatomy. I recently soulstoned away Hiding and Stealth to add a splash of Bushido and Chivalry for more options for special moves. Don't play this one much since they are on Origin which is my alternate shard, but still rocked the Treasures of the Shattered Sanctum event using clean-up Scout Armor and a Staff of Pyros from decades ago! It was amusing to pop in-and-out of Ostard form to bash invading undead.
Blacksmithing, Carpentry and Inscription services offered through afilliated subcontractors.
Exotic beasts available with proper authorization from the Crown.
I found tiger form mirror image ninja to be interesting and different, but just auto attacking gets kind of boring.
Mystic Paladin uses Bows to Start and switches to sword and shield after. I use the mystic mastery for the bow and use the event bow. Add hit lightning for the spell channeling and the additional damage. Rising colossus and Stone form help a lot, I use animated weapon if I want to remain mounted. Mass sleep and sleep come in handy. I really dislike Sampire builds as I actually want to use sword and shield and I don't want to use necromancy with Chivalry. I wouldn't mind doing a Bushido Necro kind of like a death knight build, but my paladin should use shields. This was what I worked out that seems semi consistent for PvE content for my Paladin. The new Paladin weapons and shields from the upcoming event should all be useful for this build.
120 Chiv
120 Mystic
120 Focus
120 Swords
120 Tactics
120 Parry
My bard tamer is a 900 point build.
Mark of Travesty +10 Taming/Lore
The Codex from last event for +20 Magery/meditation
Spell Woven Britches for +10 meditation
Ring and Bracelet I made with +15 Taming/Lore/Magery and LRC 20 each
Cloak from recent event for +10 Meditation
Birds +5 taming/lore
Music Skills are all real skill 120
I end up with
120 Magery
60 Meditation
120 Taming
120 Lore
120 Music
120 Discord
120 Provocation
120 Peace
I can tame anything, I use peace mastery for most things, against bosses I switch to discord mastery. I never run out of mana so Mastery's stay up. I used the Discord masteries for big damage. Magery and Peace mastery for healing pets. I usually use this in a duo with my wife (full mage tamer) she does the pet resurrection when needed.
These are the only combat builds I enjoy really.
Someone with a lot of taming experience in UO can perhaps comment on this ?
She's great for herding ossian rams and fire damage crimson/platinum drakes to a quieter spot for my tamer, she's handy for gathering Medusa eggs, herding the stygian drake out of the way a bit or even clearing reptalons away from Miasma if they're too close. One of the most fun, and totally pointless, things I've done with her is herd a greater dragon from Montor, all through Ilshenar to finally leave it near Valor champ spawn.
(story of that here if anyone wants to read it: https://uo2.stratics.com/skill-guides/skills-and-professions/herding/herding-essay/ )
