Adding skills to a crafter

Hi all,

Is it possible to add skills to a crafter after going through all of the crafting quest lines and GM'ing skills?

Crafter is currently
GM Tailor
GM Smith
GM Mining
GM LJ
GM Carpentry
50 Fencing.

I switched from swords to fencing thinking fencing would increase past 50 but it does not.  Swords was stuck at 50 as well and didn't increase.  I also tried adding skills at the advanced skill trainer and it doesn't let me.

Any thoughts?  Thanks!

You raise your weapon skill using the skill trainer like you did for your first crafting skill. You complete the town board quests and allocate points to your weapon skill. Go look at a skill trainer that is next to a town board and see if the option to raise it is still there. having finished all the crafting skills it may not be, but I cannot remember and am at work and cannot check my crafter.

  • Also, you can add Alchemy to your crafter.

Yeah I remember seeing it while I was training tailoring but ignored it as I only cared about raising tailoring at the time.  At this point when I go there it says I have nothing left to learn or my skill is too high or something like that.

Kinda what I figured. only thing i can think of is to try using the guides on stratics or UOGuide and see if you can raise it by killing the right Mobs.

I gm'd swords on my crafter after I gm'd her skills while doing job board quests to keep my house from falling, but that was before publish 1. I believe they made a change in that publish that now makes it not possible to do that.

They did now that I think about it. After you finish the first Narrative, they take away your ability to use that system.

  • So  i have a crafter in the same situation and have tried killing skeletons and Ettins (this is what the guides say to kill at 50) with no gains. @Kyronix any idea on what we can do to raise the skill from 50?
