Open Letter to the Developers - Part 1

Disclaimer:
This post fully adheres to the forum’s rules. It is not intended to attack any individual or group, nor does it contain any unauthorized images or materials. The sole purpose of this message is to engage constructively with the developers and the community.

Dear Developers,

After multiple attempts to contact the game’s producer—following the established communication process— This player has yet to receive a response or acknowledgment regarding his work and ideas. As a passionate supporter of this game and an artist dedicated to enhancing its potential, he feels compelled to share his experience with the community. His sole intention is to contribute positively to the game’s future.

The Purpose of This Post
This letter focuses on the untapped potential for improving the game’s graphics, animations, and overall user experience. With the right collaboration and open channels of communication, these enhancements could elevate the game significantly. While he has offered his assistance and shared examples of his work, he has not received any feedback or engagement from the team.

He will address broader concerns, such as player retention and the impact of declining user numbers, in a subsequent post (Part 2). For now, his focus is solely on the opportunities for graphical and functional improvements.

Opportunities for Improvement:

  • Enhanced Graphics: Modernizing the visual appeal of the game to attract new players and re-engage existing ones.

  • Smoother Animations: Introducing fluid and refined animations to improve gameplay immersion.

  • Optimized User Experience: Implementing smoother screen transitions and reducing performance bottlenecks.

He believes these changes can be realized through collaborative efforts and open communication. His work, offered freely and with enthusiasm, stands ready to support these goals.

This is being shared with the community not out of frustration, but in the hope that it may spark a constructive dialogue. The game has immense potential, and he is eager to contribute to its continued success.

Thank you for your time and consideration. He looks forward to engaging in a positive and solution-focused conversation with the developers and community members.

It would be nice if BS would allow the community (their paying customers) to help/ contribute to the betterment of the game.

Just a recommendation, but side by side screenshots might be more substantial to showcase differences and/or improvements.

Are these from the artist that did work on the Kingdom Reborn client? The demon gif is an exact copy of the demon graphics from KR: https://www.uoguide.com/File:Kingdom_reborn_10.jpg

I'm sorry I missed this discussion before your other post was shut down. That's some nice looking artwork.

I'd like to add for @McDougle who's mentioned CC players should be forced to play EC and @JackFlashUk who suggests CC players should play EC and will soon forget what CC even looks like. Nope.

I won't forget. The graphics and the look of the game are super important to me. And if forced to play EC it would be a deal breaker. The only time I ever use EC is if there's something I really want on a vendor and all the contents on the vendor look piled up on top of one another so I can't find the item. I don't think I'm alone in this.

But you've been given an improved version which everyone still rejects we as a player base our own worst enemy

lol.. i'm more savage.. i'm trying to see if he uses the BIG container option.. if not.. this guy just lost a sale for setting up his vendor on EC.

I use EC to buy reagents, that's it. good post tho
So rather than recognise the effort the botters went to, to set all that up - for the benefit of the players, to help get certain items, something you could never be bothered to do, you would rather drag people backwards to your neanderthal world?

  • I use the web client exclusively now, I just downloaded it as an app to get rid of the browser bar and Chrome shortcuts. I'm pretty much happy now, but I'd have quit the game before I used the EC. That thing is a heap of trash.

Dumb question how does the event feel in game on ATL? Still fairly clean? been like 3 days?

I'm surprised..i was expecting the same result as July; back to normal within the first 48 hours.. It look PROMISING for legit users and good PvP action!!

Hopefully they drafted the guy who made it and sent him to Ukraine.  >:)
Focus on what you can do, not what you can't.

     :D

    Jokeaside.. I'm following a streamer (dr.kiray)
When the fist draft happen; few months after this madness begins.. he moved to georgia (another invaded country that no one cared about) to avoid it and came back in Russia few months later.

On his discord u can see mother russia feeling is still strong within the common people; he lost, at least, a quarter of his russian community.. the type of people that was demanding school in russia to teach hacking at an early age to all it's citizen.

  • I haven't been at it yet today but I was on last night and it was fine. I saw some stationary types parked in little squads at the beacons targeting anything that came by, but you can do that kind of thing with a macro and a piece of tape.

The art is nice and not the OPs original work afaik. The demon is definitely straight up the Kingdom Reborn demon. It's not an original work as the OP claimed. I suspect that some of the other assets are also just Kingdom Reborn assets.

It's disturbing that the OP is claiming these as their own work, when clearly it isn't. Unless of course they worked on the Kingdom Reborn client.

Unless my memory is faulty, I believe when Saphireena did her improved artwork she was told by the devs that were there at the time that they were not allowed to use player artwork. Something in EA's rules?

If all the pics above were published to UO plz make it optionable to use it or not.
Meanwhile the OP are excited and thrilled over the images, I am not.
