well my SDI is 191 with all the new stuff i could get another point with dark monk robe but most times i am using slayer books at 25 or 30 vs 50 so really its 166
Not sure what your suit build is but most suits can easily get 100 LRC & 40LMC these days... the Hawkwind has 10 LMC & 10 LRC along with MR2. If you don't need the LRC or LMC (again easily obtained from other items these days) then all you really get is the MR2.
Different strokes for different folks but my preference is having the FC1 AND better SDI. The new greaves (upgrade to Kelp leggings) and necklace have bumped up my suit in SDI and many other stats without any drawback; loving those two item additions.

Many tamer mages use protection. FC is a unused property, not much left on the mantle.

Higher SDI flat out. Probably hardly noticeable but my opinion is that +3 SDI > 2 MR... on top of that if we are talking about looks; I always prefer a robe over a hood (and won't pay for a transmog potion).
It would be 169 (difference is 3 SDI) and it will depend on the buffs etc you have going and what you are hitting and assuming your slayer book is relevant to what you are hitting and what spell. AKA too many dependencies to give you a blanket statement.
What I can say is that even if it's only 10-20 damage per spell... over 10 spells thats 100-200 damage. Again, a lot depends on what you are fighting but 10 spells / 50 spells / 100 spells etc all add up to be a major difference collectively.

It's a purely personal preference for me with not wanting a hood near top of the list
The archlich robe has resisting spells bonus. This can be important if you use resist, particularly if you're running protection (which has a large resist spells penalty).
Spellweaving doesn't have the same FC cap as magery (mystic, and necro). Good to get to FC4 if you're using spellweaving. With or without protection.
Many would say the hawkwind robe is obsolete. During these ToT events, you may be better off using a luck 140 robe slot item.
Getting to FCR6 is going to be more important than FC4 in most cases.
Again my Tamer always runs protection so the fc doesn't matter and no room for resistance so the little gained doesn't matter and did I mention no hoods

You sound like Pawain! Perhaps less punctuation and more run-on though
What I wrote isn't strictly tailored to your current situation. You could also choose to use spellweaving, where FC is more relevant.
