The Wyvern's Lair [Currently Recruiting]
Hail Adventurers!
The Wyvern’s Lair is an extension of my YouTube channel gaming community in Ultima Online. We're planning to play exclusively as a guild on this season of NL and all future seasons. Many of us are discovering Ultima Online for the first time and a few of us are veterans or returning veterans of UO.
We're aiming to sample it all in NL: PvM and PvP/VvV, so there should be something for almost all players to enjoy gaming with us.
We’re all adults, and we all lead busy adult lives. Gaming with us should never feel like another job. We’re a fun first group of players, and we’re looking for like-minded players to join us in NL. ^_^

I have played UO since day one! Yes, I was there when Lord Brittish got fireballed in the face, hahah. I went on to make Chesapeake my shard and then I took a break due to life stuff. Fast forward about 8 years, could not retrieve my old account and started over on Atlantic.
Been there ever since, although I do have characters on Chesapeake. I love taming, because I love animals; real or imagined. I also do a lot of T-maps! I like it when there are seasonal events and shards have events; I like the collectibles of course! Shiny = MINE! MINE! (As Grubber would say).
I happened across DM Wyvern on YouTube one day as I was searching for videos about the latest goings-on. I watched some of his other videos of other games as well and just thought, "This dude seems cool." So I started to bug him via messages on Facebook and YouTube, and here I am in the game spamming for days, "WHERE ARE YOU, DM WYVERN!?"
He took me and my hubby in, and we are happy with the guild. Everyone is great, and I look forward to the road ahead!

I'm coming back after a long 23 year hiatus from Ultima Online.
I actively played from the week the game was released in 1997 through roughly the Third Dawn expansion in 2001. I remember the time I spent in Sosaria fondly.
I was previously known as Gildabeast mostly playing on Napa Valley in the guild Five Orders of Justice led by Brazee and Chaos Queen. I wish there was a better archive of GeoCities, so I could find the guild's website
. I'm sure someone out there still has screenshots of our guild activities!
The worst thing about Ultima Online is that it is the greatest game ever made and no other game has come close. Sure, I play a few other games here and there, primarily on console these days, but my interest quickly wanes. Ultima Online ruined video games. Honestly, I'm surprised the video game industry still exists. Ha, I'm kidding of course!
Though, what made Ultima Online the greatest game ever? Well, I could name many things, but if I were to name only one it's that it instills a natural inclination in players to build community with one another - both in the game and the real world. Of course there exist players that play Ultima Online solo, but I'd guess that is less common than those who primarily play it socially and cooperatively. There is no other game where I have been inclined to be in community with other players.
With all that said, this is why I am glad to have stumbled in to The Wyvern's Lair. I was excited to learn of New Legacy and its potential for breathing new life into the greatest game ever made. I want to be a part of this revival, and I want to do it with a group of people who want to share this experience together. Thanks to DM Wyvern for being one of the early content creators for New Legacy. Through his YouTube streams, I was quickly connected with a great group of adventurers.
