Event Bug for Revenants (Tram)

@Kyronix- There appears to be a bug where mages cannot dispel or even damage revenants that are cast from Undead Gargoyles or LL at all during the town invasion.The result is that they continue to beat on you until they time out (long after the monster is dead) wearing down my suit and interrupting my spells.

The only way to get rid of them is to recall off server and back in which is kind of frustrating.

    Pally can despell tamer can have pets guard them .this was brought up in testing with no change so I assumed it was intentionally left in

    It appears to me that only the person a rev is summoned on can dispel it.

    I mentioned that revenants are on speed now. I think that thread got closed.

    Yes only the person who they were cast on can dispel.
    They can be damaged but not so much with your fire weapon.

    So they were changed for this.  I new I wasn't crazy.  Wrong word choice maybe.

    This is incorrect. I am telling you that I am being cast on directly and I cannot dispel. So it's following me around for 2-4 minutes hitting me while the gargoyle who cast it is long dead. Again I've tried dispel and mass dispel but get the message I cannot do that. The only "fix" for this is to recall/gate to a different town.

    I dispel them when they are cast on me. Oddly they don't  make my Chiv spell get interrupted. They go up in a black tornado.  But I can not dispel the ones cast on other players.

    Ok... getting back on track and not having my thread closed because it's still an issue for me....

    I am having revenants cast on me and I cannot dispel them (dispel or mass dispel).... I just shut down UO (it's been open since event started) and restarted and there was a small patch it appears. I'm hoping this is a fix for me and the reason I wasn't able to dispel/mass dispel revanants casts on me.

    After seeing a group of 3 "bots" staying in one place and hearing the WW sound over and over.
    I noticed there was a Revenant there that they could not kill, they did start moving again but the revenant followed them and they continued attacking it until it went poof.

     :D Maybe an accidental Bot determent?

    @Kyronix the bug still occuring with a melee character if you target the revenant casted by gargoyle you cant attact it but it follow you and damage you. it need to be fix when i select my maccro to attack select enarest hostile i always get the revenant and cant hit him so it s really annoying

    Recall out of the city and then dispel or kill it.  Works for my mage.  I just recall home and dispel it there.  Mass dispel does not work in the Trammel town being invaded,  Would think this would work with melee fighters, but have not tried it with one.

    Are you having trouble dispelling your EVs still?

    I dispelled them in Vesper this morning while invasion was going on.
    With both spells.

    I have not had a revenant on me for a long time.  But I did dispel one or two a few days ago.
    They were cast on me.  I can't dispel them if cast on another player.

Dispel Evil is not an option, 60 Chiv will not cut it nor can I spare anymore points on Chiv. Just let me hit the damn thing like I can with EVERY OTHER Rev in the damn game. I know it wasn't an intentional bot deterrent, but I would much rather the Dev team do their damn jobs than rely on an unintended consequence that makes things even more miserable for everyone else.

    Pawain hates sampires and has a huge chip on his shoulder about them, partly because he's currently walking around the event with 75 resisting spells and getting destroyed every time something blood oaths him. In his mind he's playing well and everyone that doesn't die to trash mobs is basically cheating.

    I see I live in your head also. Do you just dream up things about me?  I said players can die by blood oath.  Like in every other event with mobs that cast that spell. My Tamers res them. Also all of my toons can res, unlike a Sampire.   You sure dream a lot about my naked body in UO.


    But ya, bragging about you never dying on your sampire just enforces the facts I state about them.

    I just feel like if you're going to comment upon issues of game balance, everyone should know they're talking to someone who's walking around this event with his archery locked at 107 and a little over 75 resisting spells. It's not a partially-trained character, either. He did it on purpose, he calls it his "event specific" template.

    Like I'm not posting a judgement value here, I'm not attacking him, I'm just stating an objective fact. When he talks about balance, keep in mind where he feels the bar is.

    Don't be salty Grimmy. Let the mods delete whatever they care to, we're all having fun.

    Also P-wizzle, please decide whether this event is so easy that only having 107 archery is a totally valid choice, or so hard that sampires should be dying to this junk regularly else it means the game is imbalanced.

    God you guys stop tagging the mods, you're all taking this too seriously and messing everything up.

    But since they're bound to see this thread, can whatever mod deleted my Simpsons meme about Pawain's template at least tell me if they thought it was funny? I thought the place where I pasted in the skill window was hilarious.

    It hit close to home.. his cry me a river post.. I legit copy pasta Cookie speaking about bots on this forum (in a post i was exposing them 10 bots camping oni for splintering).. nothing else in my signature and look what happen:



    The next day (day 1) I receive this and my signature is GONE.

    I redo the same signature:

    Day 2: the ENTIRE signature is GONE again.. I was like the f.. i quote this ON YOUR FORUM.. if the promotion of cheat engine.. botting in this case is STILL on your forum.. u DIDN'T moderate it.. how come u moderate ME.. quoting it..

    day 3.. I couldn't log was perman ban (couldn't see this message)
    My signature was STILL ON this time.. the only thing they remove with this ban was Cookie name from the quote.

    PS: they say 24 hours.. but for 2-3 weeks i couldn't log on forum (error in red when i was trying to sign in.. not the permission issue.. I was legit not able to connect on the forum.. felt like an IP ban)


    So seeing Paiwan with everything we can see in plain daylight.. being able to go with what mariah and rorshnak consider as PERSONAL ATTACK when it come to me quoting (nothing else) a known cheater.. I mean.. do better.. at this point i'm thinking paiwan is related to one member of the team and had privileges and/or i'm being targeted.. choice is urs.
