About the Event Shadow's Awakening

Thank you for organizing a very nice event Shadow's Awakening.

I have received some comments from Japanese players about the specifications of this event.

It is difficult for tamers and mages to secure route rights when there is a lot of people around, and even if you advance through the bosses by trehunting, you often end up getting nothing. It is as if we are volunteering to do the trehunting for the warriors who come in large numbers. So, I would like to make a suggestion. I would like to give a little more merit to the trehunter side.

Would it be possible to trade antiques with traders?
It would be encouraging if there are artifacts that can only be acquired by traders. For example, it could be a reprint.
Also, if this is adopted, we would like to see more artifacts that can be taken from treasure chests.

Thank you very much for your consideration.

    Additions.

Allow people who have helped build a boss source by doing a treasure hunt to have a 100% chance of getting a Shadow Satchel when they participate in the boss fight.

    Or.

Treasure hunters who spawn a boss will have a 100% chance of getting a Shadow Satchel.

    That is all.

I think it would help to say which shard you are on because from the sound of it, you might be on ATL? That seems to be the only shard having issues with the boss dropping so fast. Other shards seem to have the boss alive long enough for a T-mapper to get looting rights.

Only reason I mention that is because at this point in the event, I think it's too late to make a chance to logic where X person gets a drop. This is nothing more than a reskinned Krampus. What the Dev team COULD do with relatively little effort is to increase the HP on the boss, but I'm not sure if that would be globally or could it be done for single shards (like ATL).

The developers could at least acknowledge that there are issues...

It has happened to my wife and myself a few times on cats albeit not every time. Just very discouraging to do maps and come away with nothing.

As an additional suggestion I would also like to see shadow hounds added to the spawn pool for t-maps. This would give a bit of an incentive as well for some treasure hunters.

would need to be any Thunters who helped spawn the boss gets rewards. The boss is spawned when your "Remove Trap" from a chest, so what is happening on our server sometimes if players wait until the message that the boss is imminent and them Remove Trap from some pre-dugup chests that have had their timers run out. The chest stays for 90mins, so its relatively easy to line up 3 or 4 pre-dugup chests who remove trap timer has run out...

    Thanks for your response.

Asuka and Ymato have a large number of participants, and this incident occurs frequently. It also happens in other shards in Japan during the middle of the night.

The Treasure Hunter attackers cannot even get the route right. Of course, they can't even join the top group of raiders.

If this continues, treasure hunters will lose motivation and gradually move away from the event, and those who are just waiting in Luna will get tired of waiting and will not enjoy it.

Without increasing the benefits for treasure hunters, this vicious cycle will result in a boring event.

Thank you for your response, it is much appreciated.

The idea of digging through multiple treasure chests and waiting for the timer to run out is great. I will take that on board immediately.

Yes - I totally agree that Tmappers lose motivation to pull the chest when they have to switch chars to get a toon that has a chance; I've fallen into this group myself because I was tired of doing the work only to switch and still get nothing. So now I just hit a few bosses as they spawn.

Agree with the above statements. T hunters just need to sit it out for awhile ,let the Luna sitters handle it.

This seems a little disingenuous.  Not all TMappers are rolling with a single account.

ive been doing maps when I can and I just alt tab to the next screen to start playing the tamer or other char.

It doesn’t bother me others are just waiting on the gate.  I can’t kill the thing alone and many have helped by given maps.

Im sure the situation on Atlantic is probably different but my experience has been fine even while doing maps.

The problem I've noticed is that there's a tipping point where too many attackers on the Manifestation and it "bugs out". The Manifestation seems to always have the same HP so any single person will need to do a specific amount of damage else you won't get rights. And when too many people attack it, it does not live long enough for anyone to apply enough damage to cross that threshold, and no one gets loot rights.

For example, let's just say the Manifestation has 50k hps and any single player will need to do 1k damage to get loot rights.
When there are 10-30 players there doing 100 dps, the boss will live long enough for everyone to do >1k damage, and everyone gets loot rights and thus a bag.
When there are 60-100 players doing 100 dps, the boss doesn't live long enough for anyone to do enough damage to get loot rights, so no one gets a bag.
This seems to be very apparent on Atlantic: a specific guild gates in 60+ characters, mostly multiboxed, and when the boss dies no one gets a bag.
The one caveat is that if you are somehow able to take damage from the boss you are almost guaranteed to get a bag. And they wonder why lmao.
(^ those numbers are all made up and just for example)

You can fact check this because when the boss dies and is not bugged the game lags for 3-5 seconds generating the loot. When there are too many people and no one (or very few) got loot rights to get a bag, there is no lag when it dies.

This has been proven. So the actual fix to people getting loot rights is to stop gating people in, as selfish as it sounds.

I also 100% support the mapper that did the map should get a guaranteed bag but this is likely a piece of code that doesn't exist so who knows if they'd be able to add it.

Good thinking but this is not how the manifestation is program.. I'm doing a single tap on the manifestation ~9-13 dmg and I get loot right/satchel on Legends.. In your case u'd still need to be top X person dealing dmg.. the manifestation could have 10 times the HP and u still won't, cuz of bots mode; auto aim script stack on top of each others beating you to it.

Edit: the 10 bots stack on top of each others money is better than urs.. cuz they sub 10+ accounts and do not cry like we do.
Wich explain why they still roaming in game.. such a shame, BS should understand people come on officials.. well in my case I came here cuz the game supposed to be clean from them bots and cheaters. If they did their job of cleaning the game and working on heretic stuff.. UO could have a third breath and shine as it did before.. they just give up on production.. all the little passion they got left went to EC & New Heresy; Theme Park Legacy!
So rather than recognise the effort the botters went to, to set all that up - for the benefit of the players, to help get certain items, something you could never be bothered to do, you would rather drag people backwards to your neanderthal world?
