Player housing restrictions.

Why? I mean seriously, in just a single day all the housing spots in Moonglow are already taken?  Open op the world to housing, we're not getting any younger waiting for spots to open up.

Yeah, I hate how housing is working. There’s tons of room cleared for housing. Much more now than there was during beta.

It’s bad enough we can’t pick spots like we used to all around Britannia. Ok, so make us build within the areas you’ve cleared and designated for house building. I can live with that. But seriously, do we have to be crammed in like sardines, only allowing us to build right next to where the previous house was placed?

And why does it have to be based on where you’ve trained a character class? So what if I trained up in Moonglow? Why can’t I place a little house in Yew? Or around Cove?

Why? Why tract housing? It’s awful. It’s unattractive. It’s un-UO. Why can’t we at least place where we like within the designated space?

And ok, we’re only allowed to place small houses unless it’s a guild house. But why can’t we use the small workshop designs? Because it’s two floors?

    Blah

On the island of Ice Dagger there is a second zone for houses, above the Ice dungeon, you can also now safely build In other city zones (you need to pay an additional 10k gold) since the location of the house no longer matters due to the fact that we now have a vendor search.

Stfu McDougle. Who do you think you are, jumping in yelling? You think we don’t all know it’s a temporary world? So what? That doesn’t mean housing should be ugly tract housing for a year.

lol! What? miss cah? I’ve no idea what that’s supposed to mean. I know you’re irritating af. You think you need to weigh in on everything anyone has to say and tell them how they should think and play and feel about anything and everything in uo.

Like you’re the one who knows better than anyone else and yours is the only opinion that matters or is correct. So much so you gotta come in and type in all caps at someone about how right you are. So, yeah, you shutting tfu sounds pretty good to me.

Yeah, housing is temporary. But a year is a significant span of time. I don’t care if you want to live in a cardboard box under a bridge in UO. Good for you. But you thinking everyone should live in a cardboard box under a bridge for a year is where I’d draw the line.

That’s rich, you saying someone voicing an opinion here is crying about something. Let’s sift through your 4000+ posts on these boards and see who the chronically complaining, insulting, know-it-all, crybaby is.

Ok, so I did find the west coast of the ice island had additional spots for a house, but I still feel more inclined to put a larger home on Atlantic or Baja, I'm not confident that I enjoy New Legacy.  I got my character to progress till the end of the mage campaign and I don't feel like I'm having any fun.  I began playing again thinking it was a fresh shard with an economy not broken by 24 years of gold hoarding, but what I've found is a uo on rails, more akin to newer mmo's like World of Warcraft.

You can still put a house on Atlantic or Baja. New Legacy housing doesn't prevent that you can have 1 on retail and 1 on new legacy, and I guess even one on Siege Perilous so you can have 3 on the same account.

I'm hoping down the line we might be able to decide for ourselves if we want to spend more gold on housing and get an upgrade on the smalls we're able to use now. I'd sink gold into a small workshop. I'd sink more gold in setting down my own little plot of farmland next to it. Forgive the messy cobbling together...

    Why not?

Housing on NL is just weird. Would be nice to see a complete revamp for the next season.

Pls open all land for housing... it's fun racing time to place a house though I am late. Housing is one of the most enjoyable component and reason many are still paying for several on normal shards.

One Legacy shard for entire community and it's only per season. Pls open up all the land and let's see how many accounts there exist in totality...

I agree, I really miss seeing houses pop up all over Britannia. It makes sense not to have us taking up space with keeps and castles. I did have visions of having the same design of the first house I bought, a patio with forge. I guess it makes sense to at least start with small houses but why not the small workshops? Same footprint. If we earn the gold to buy one let us place them.

I think house placement will always be exciting, racing to place that first house on a clean shard esp at prime locations.

I was so excited until today when I read houses are different on Legacy. I forgot about the real world for the past 2 days while trying to build my character thinking I need to earn enough to place that first house.

I was able to place a house in the far north of Ice Isle. It's on shore so maybe ships/fishing will be added at a future date and I can then moor a small ship there.

New player here. Just subbed for housing only to find out that I cant place one because there is no land available. It's a shame and off putting. I don't know if I am going to renew it if it continues like that.
