Make sure you put all your passwords into the proper areas.

@Pawain, Why did the survey ask me for my mothers maiden name and the street I grew up on. Those were odd questions to answer for a Beta signup.

Doh! I should have added decorator to the “other” category when I was asked what type characters I enjoy. I want do-overs!

I just put "all of the above" under other. I don't have a favorite. And the PVP/PVM question needed a "Both" option in my opinion @Kyronix.

I think I put Crafter, Rogue, High Seas adventurer, or something like that. But I would have added house builder / decorator kind of thing if I’d thought of it.

I’m not sure any of that will come into play anyway, since NL is supposed to be, in some respects, old school. Am I going to need death robes l, onions and nightshade to build a flowerbed again?

Question 5 is curious, regarding which client.

Shouldn't the third choice be "other", instead of "I have never played Ultima Online" ??

I doubt anybody will be answering the survey if they haven't played Ultima Online.

It's also curious the data isn't just pulled from the stats on how people are connecting to the production servers.

You consent to the collection of certain data as part of the terms of service and collecting user data is a normal part of all software. If they aren’t able to track which client users are using, that’s a problem.

Within the context of the beta, the survey is probably meant to ensure the spread of enrollment across different populations — if the survey matters at all. They want people who use the EC and the CC. For sure folks will be using neither as well.

So this is the best they can do communicating with the player base? If they did not have anything to say why initiate a discussion? Expected more than a picture with the word closed stamped on it.

First come first served is the dumbest way to chose beta players. Every other game keeps their sign-in open for few weeks letting most of their player base that are interested apply, then they pick players that match their criteria for participation (some low end specs, some high end specs, some on win 7, some win 10, DOS 6.22, etc), then they roll the dice among those to pick lucky ones.

And for all you know all those requirements were met in the first 5 min. of sign ups. You don't think UO knows what you are doing while you are online? You may want to go look at the sign-up survey, it was kind of basic.

I really just need a release date. I don't feel like playing in another Beta. I do, however, want to plan to play New Legacy pretty heavily so I'd like to know when it's coming.

Also, I've signed up for newsletters... why am I finding out about this 4 days later? I didn't even get a chance to sign up for the Beta anyways. Not that I'm upset by it because I didn't want to, but seems like an oversight.
