Interview with EM Takako!

1.    What made you decide to start EMing?

Well, I love to be around people. I also like to create events as a player myself. Event like game and xmas event, so when the chance was there. I apply for it and glad I got it!

2.    What is your favorite part about EMing?

My favorite part about the job EM is creating event and telling a story. I enjoy the journey of EMing and it let me to another part of UO that I would have never know or see. The people who always come to support the events over the years is also something I never take for granted. I believe it is the reason that keep me going also. Also working with Mesanna and EM team was always fun, from my bottom of my heart I thanks Mesanna for giving me the opportunity to be a part of creating something for UO.

3.    What is your favorite memory thus far of EMing?

There is so many memory I had in EMing, Events like the anniversary that I did and the early days of Dragon ball Arch Story. There is also the Titan story and also the Xmas Maze event that I did a few years ago. Game like bag ball event or the ludo event was also fun. 4.    What is your most memorable moment playing UO?

My most memorable moment in playing UO is the time I play with fellow friends I meet in the UO world. Everyday we spend today doing all kind of boss encounter and if I have to pick one. The day when I placed my own castle on a empty spot after the house fall.

5.    What is your favorite thing to do in UO?

My favorite thing to do in UO has to be Fel Champion Spawn, I believe it give you the feeling of risk vs reward. Fighting the PK and getting the power scroll. The PvP experience in champion spawn is one of the best! But I also want to say design your own house and decorate it is another thing that bring a lot of joy for me and I believe it one of the reasons that make UO so special.

6.    Is there a specific event that you've done that is your favorite? What is it?

I have a lot of favorite events that I did but if you have to make me pick one. It has to be the 6-hour anniversary event that I did. It starts off with the story and battle event. Then follow by celebration and a special game in the end also! I provide a video that a players took which share the moment of that event below. 7.    Was a drop you made that you favorite most out of all of them thus far? What is it?

I feel the anniversary drop that I did was the one I like most. The Blaze anniversary Lantern and Dice. I always hope to see people wearing the lantern and come to my events. The Dice I also believe is something people can use to split loots so this two drop from two anniversary I believe is my favorite.

8.    Is there a specific story that comes to mind about UO that has stuck with you to date?

The Live arch story of Scroll of Valiant Commendation which link to the Call To Arms was something that I remember as I did that story 5 time, Eming the live story on Formosa, Oceania, Arirang and Balhae at that time just for that events. As player myself I also did the events so it was a story that I remember the most.

9.    Do you have any words of wisdom for the players out there? New and Old?

There is no game that give you the freedom like Ultima Online, The first MMO and the best MMO. You might take a break from it but you will always come back. It like your first love that you can never forget. I have tried a lot of game also myself but nothing beat Ultima Online. The pvp experience, the house and vendor system and the solo boss encounter you can do. The list goes on, for old players out there you know how fun it is, for new players that want to try or coming to play. It is something you need to experience it for yourself. A lot of other game have taken idea from Ultima Online and you should experience it to see why it is that good. Last but not least of wisdom for the players out there is always read and chat with people. You can learn new thing even after many years of playing the game. I still learn some new stuff once in awhile as there is a lot of secret and tricks in this amazing game.

10. Is there anything else you'd like to add to the players out there?

I want to take this opportunity to thanks all the players who always come to support my events on Formosa and Arirang. I been serving the EMing program for more then 10 over years.
