TRITON, forget about the stats, will it be able to get INTO Sea and fight MOBs there, toe to toe ?
Triton, to my understanding, in Mythology, is a Greek God https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triton_(mythology)
The messenger of the sea and son of Poseidon and Amphitrite who are the god and goddess of the Sea.
Bottom line is, I understand, has got everything to do with SEA.
Now, I wonder, will Ultima Online's Triton ALSO be primarily a SEA creature before being a land creature ?
For example, my understanding is, that with the "Sea" new content for this Year under the Rising Tide ongoing Event, a rework for Charybdis and its loot has been planned....
Well, will for example this new Triton pet be made capable of going INTO the Sea and fight Charybdis toe to toe, into their same element, water ?
Personally, given the name its been given, the fact that the current, ongoing Event is about Sea content, it would make sense if the Triton could actually be a pet that can go on land and Sea likewise and perhaps be able to fight Charybdis toe to toe into THEIR same element, the Sea....

And the Developers still picked, among a whole lot of names which they could have given to this new tameable, the name "Triton".....
So, Timeline for 2019 being focused on the Sea, the new Tameable being named "Triton", well, wouldn't it have been made a whole lot of sense if this new "Triton" tameable could be been "also" an ocean creature ?
Especially, considering that I understand that the Scalis and Charybdis "Sea Bosses" will be revamped (in Forsaken Foes ?) so, WHY NOT have the new tameable Triton be made a pet that could actually "get in the Sea" and fight with them "toe to toe", in their element, so to speak ?
Besides, my understandin is that the Triton will come with an innate, unique ability for healing, superior of that which the CU-Sidhe has so, it would be just perfect for such a "field of operations"...
