Think I Fixed My Lag?

Got a new Dell Bios that really trashed my gaming. At least that was the only variable around the time. After days of screwing around doing numerous time consuming tasks from Dell I think I hit on something. Going back to basics I set UO to run in compatibility mode for Windows 7. Everything seems better now. Not lagging out or stuttering or any of that. Something to try if your having issues. Also just wondering what actually happens or changes in compatibility mode? I'm curious what the problem might be that requires it. Anyone else ever been required to do this? Well.... all is well that ends well
