Tracking for NPCs practically useless ?
The UO Wiki says : https://uo.com/wiki/ultima-online-wiki/skills/tracking/
"Tracking is a Wilderness Skill used to track nearby creatures, other players and NPCs over longer distances than you can see on your screen, this includes players who are hidden."
As in regards to tracking NPCs, I noticed that the "range" at which Tracking for NPCs work, even when having 100.0 Tracking skill, is VERY short.... having showing names of incoming NPCs on, basically seems to me to have a longer range as 100.0 GM Tracking !!
Not only that, considering how, even with a macro, because of the long downtime timer it is necessary to wait in between each Tracking skill attempt, basically, it is WAY more efficient and faster to simply run around a Town and read all of the NPCs name showing on screen or spam the ALLNAMES macro....
What I am trying to say is, that at the very least for NPCs' and Monsters' Tracking, the Range for being able to track them down should be way, but WAAAAAAAY much longer as what it is, particularly if one had invested 100.0 GM skill in Tracking....
As it is, I find Tracking, at least for NPCs, totally useless and a waste of skill points in the Template....
