So currently I'm using a bard tamer 

Taming 
Lore 
Vet 
Magery 
Music 
Disco
Provo 

My main tactic against bosses is pet attack and tank while I disco and cast tribulation. A few things I'm not sure about, does SDI work with Tribulation, would Despair be better or would I be better off mage focused with Eval Int for bless, curse and casting Death Ray?

Eval Int
Med 
Inscription 

After giving up atm on any hope of a mature egg I'm going to start spending my event  points on items other than maps , so need to choose between needing the slayer instrument or spellbook.

    You would lose more in songs by not having peace at 120 than you would gain with anything else.

    They are songs, not spells, I know SDI does not increase the others amount of buff.

    If you are on a shard where you can get a Focus, Weaving is much better for a tamer than inscription.  It also increases SDI more when Focused. Also has some nice spells for pets.

    I'm about to log into Atlantic and make gates to the bosses, Join if you have a toon there.  they make them every 15 to 20 mins.  Eggs are not shard bound.

    Sadly even disco tamer useless vs the mother even the spawn  completely unbardable

    Also the luck Clock stacks with other luck items.  Buy that for nest hunting.

    If i read correctly and this is for any boss other than this event:

    I will always be a fanboi for disco tamers over mage tamers. They're cheaper to make, suit and more laid back to play. Flutes of renewal are where it's at.

    Don't forget a -mage bow for a little extra free damage.

    For the current permanent bosses if you are in a group, play the template you enjoy.  Both will get you a drop chance.

    Yes I was talking about other boss's than the Matriarch, for that one and the nest maps I use a Naja. 
    I use my PP nightmare for Narvey and use disco / tribulation with a spider slayer instrument, takes a while but works ok. I was just wondering how this method compares to other taming templates that people use. 
    Sadly I cannot see a way of getting peace, the 4th music skill into my template to maximise the spellsong damage

    Changing the elemental damage on your mastery book? 

    I took Provo off in favor of vet. I eventually switched mastery to taming. 

    I have another tamer that goes like :
    Mage 120
    Tame 120
    Lore 120
    Vet 120
    Spell weave 120
    Med 120 to spam WoD

    I stacked Sdi and average 1000+ damage word of death.
