For those of you who are completely confused by the Arcane Outfitter, like me, here is what is going on.

UO is going to sell new 6-piece Paladin Plate suit transmogrifications in the UO store.

When you buy the transmog, you equip the 6 pieces of armor you want to transmog into the new suit and go visit the Arcane Outfitter.

The Arcane Outfitter will transform the 6 pieces of armor you are wearing into your new plate suit.

The Arcane Outfitter menu looks like this:

The "Tickets" are just for testing, you'll be buying the transmog from the store.

Notice that the Paladin Plate Suit is using the Close Helm, not the Plate helm.

Once transmogged, the Paladin Plate pieces have new artwork on your paper doll, visible to other players, and in containers.

However, in the game window your character will be wearing a basic plate suit with a close helm.
Paladin Plate Fire in the game window.

Here are the 4 new transmogs:

    Paladin Plate Fire

    Paladin Plate Earth

    Paladin Plate Air

    Paladin Plate Water

Thank you for the info !!

Other then the 4 different looks, will there also be any unique particular and specialty properties/stats that these 4 Paladin suits will have as compared to other artifact or Legendary items that we can find as loot in UO ?

    It's just a transmog

    @Kyronix

    Couple things:

    1) I did a full file check and I'm still getting errors and MegaCliloc errors on the outfitter screen and for the armor (I'm in regular CC with UOA).
    2) I think the outfitters need a spawn chain of some sort; the Brit Outfitter (North Mage Shop) was down past the healers and near the sewers/inn which is very far from the mage guild. UPDATE - He's now down by the provisioner.

@Kyronix - There might be a bug with the inherent LMC transferring over as well. Both sets of armor I had were a mix of studded/bone/plate that were not mage armor (I had 11 LMC before switching to paladin set) and once I did the swap my LMC was 0 both times.

UPDATE** I also took mage armor (midnight bracers) and made them paladin arms ( 0 inherent LMC) and then converted them at the mage guildmaster to remove mage armor and they still didn't add the +3 LMC I was expecting.
  • We seriously got Pawain changing their pfp before gta 6?

The armor piece will only get altered if it is equipped. But if it is unequipped then you will not lose a point/charge.

    1) The errors are being investigated at this time.
    2) The outfitter issue is being resolved.

The armor pieces are Metable, so they will lose the LMC bonus.

Once they are changed, they will lose the LMC, as these are medable pieces of armor.

Can we take a poll on that?

That doesn't seem to make sense at all that a Paladin (warrior) would have their armor as medable...that's mage armor property. I think you are going to lose a lot of people on that.

If you are going to stick with that design; I also think you should make it very clear to people that are going to buy the transmog that it will make the armor forever mage armor (hidden tag)...or display mage armor on the piece (this would be the best approach)

Yea as keven stated this will pretty much shut down purchasing for me and I'm sure others.
  • So do these sets even look like anything in CC graphics?

    Kyronix or Parallax,

I'm with the others here, medable Paladin armor?

You are going to have to explain to us how you think that is worthwhile in any way, shape, or form.

Without some explanation of what you're thinking, how you feel medable Paladin armor fits into the game somehow, I would suspect you're either going to get a lot of resistance, or your new armor is just going to get ignored.

I play almost exclusively Paladins when I'm out adventuring. I run a full plate suit. Tell me why I should BUY, for more money, a medable version of armor, that will make my template less effective.

I really am interested. Try to sell me on this idea of yours.

Transmog should never alter the function of your piece of gear. If you're going to do this, do it right.

I'm certain this is a way of working around an existing, messy code base, but the result is unappealing.

The converted armor needs to have the lmc properties of the source armor. Bone studded hide metal.

The Paladin Cloak says it's a transmog target.  If so, it would not have stats.

Refined armor cannot be transmoged in this system.  I consider this to be a problem as a whole suit is being converted and many players cannot easily just change out their balron bone armor or any of the other artifacts they might have refined for other nonrefined artifact pieces.

This will greatly hinder sales of the armor.

Well that explains why none of my armor works. I was about to ask that.

Can a suit of mixed non med items turn into a suit?  Can a Tranmogged helmet be turned to the plate helm? A Bake Kitsune hat or mace and shield glass turned into a helm..

Also, this is a one time change, you cant pay to change to another type.  Would be nice if we could.

Does a few posters on uo forums really constitute enough player feedback to change your plans? You need a better way to get player feedback IMHO!

my mace & shield glasses turned into a helmet. It was dyed purple and could only see the purple on the character (not while unequipped or on the paperdoll). And when I dyed it with void pigment, I could see the hue on the paperdoll in EC but not in CC. but it remains a silver helmet when unequipped.

And it only allowed you to do it once. no repeats

Can you post a pic? I think it might be the helmet style... when unequipped the helmets look more silver-ish as a graphic with thin lines of color.

Couple things I have noticed -  When trying to dye the legs, chest and arms of the fire set it says you cannot dye that, other items seem to be ok. I tried on another character with the earth set and it seemed to let me dye to those pieces.

Also the fire cloak after transmogrifying  was unable to be insured. Not sure if other cloaks would have the same problem.
