Rare Artifacts Rework: Time to Make Them Useful Again?

Hi everyone,

I wanted to open a discussion about something that’s been on my mind for a while: rare artifacts obtained from dungeons. While some are useful, many others are completely overlooked because their stats or properties feel outdated compared to the current game meta.

This makes me wonder: wouldn’t it be great if the developers updated or reworked these artifacts to make them relevant again? It could also encourage players to revisit certain dungeons that currently lack appeal.

Looking forward to hearing your ideas and suggestions!

  • I'd like to see old minor and major artifacts become components for newer artifact recipes. Kinda like the revamped doom arties. We need more recipes along the lines like Hat of the Magi to Scholars Halo.

Devs wouldn't have to add a whole lot content to keep current content appealing.

It would be even cooler if they added new recipes without saying anything. Let the player base stumble across it.

Not that I think they will do this,  but if yall came up with the total Stats for a specific suit maybe they would.  My fave is the woodland suit. Very Spiderman looking.  Make it a mage suit.

What about those of us with all the suits, would we get retractive stats or would we have to collect them again?

I'm like 99.9% sure there's no way to audit an entire shard for instances of a particular item and then edit those items in place. At least not for any sane amount of effort. There have been too many times in the past where such an ability would have come in handy.

Me, I'd like to see some new paragon artifacts. Maybe some slayer weapons with reasonable stats, but base types that are a little off-meta. Workhorse items for non-powergaming types who can't afford to shell out for a full set of crafted bladed staffs or whatever.
