Shard recommendation for best european (german) player experience

Hi folks,

I am currntly returning to UO after a near quater century hiatus.
Used to play on Drachenfels well back around the millennia.
After returning I noticed it to be quite a desert.
Are there any recommendations on which shard I should be playing for a fun time? I mean active but not overcrowded and a helpful community.
Form the information I was able to gather - which wasn't much currently - Europa seems to be okay.

Thanks for any insights you can provide.
