Maxing Fame

Is it possible to max fame on a tamer? three times ive been killing fel balrons and get the fame to 31180 then it just drops back to 30900 for no apparent reason (which is a tonful more balrons).

Why would you want to max it out?  Just to do it?  I don't think there is a special title or reward.
