Easier is relative. I have the 3 ocean sapphires needed to make one, but it took 9 white SoS to get them. That's easy when you're getting the mibs from a clicky on test, not so easy when you're fishing for them on regular shards.

I really don't understand why you're faffing about with timers to avoid the ancient guardians, just kill them and be done with it. I've never had more than 2 on a Hoard map, and Trove guardians take me so long to kill I don't get any.

If you specifically want Yew wood I'd suggest getting a Yew lumberjack's map, they come from Carpentry or bowcraft bulk orders or from Vela the Sorceress, void pool points.

If it helps at all my 'water' is made from dyed carpet tiles rather than goza mats, gives that more textured look, both the carpet and the copper stair 'water falls' were dyed with Wind Azul dye.

possibly. I don't use them for gaining compassion. I have a considerable stock of compassion sage from Blackthorn's dungeon. 1 bottle of sage = a full day's worth of escort quests.
