Maybe they finally decided to throw in the towel? Would be a smart move as that website has been dead for years. I went there a few months ago and UHall's 10th newest post went back 3 weeks. They should close it down for good if they haven't.

There's too much information there the developers need to get over it and get the info moved or linked
Not sure what the drama is between UO Stratics and UO because of long absences from playing. Whatever it is, there is information in the Stratics forums that I cannot find anywhere else. It would be nice to have that resource available.

I would guess it's as simple as Stratics promoting third-party clients and third-party shards, which is banned by the game TOS and by the fan site listing TOS.

That's actually not it at all.
Super high level summarizing here, but I believe there was some sort of fallout between Mesanna and Stratics when she was producer (over 10 years ago) where she wanted full control of what was being posted; the owners of Stratics at the time said no. Understandable given the way things are moderated there versus here. That being the case, Mesanna didn't allow any of her people to post on Stratics anymore. I believe ownership has changed since then and they've publicly said they have reached out to Mesanna multiple times (before she stepped down) to mend the bridge but she wasn't interested.
If you are interested in story (from the Stratics Mods) it's on Stratics somewhere.

That’s nice, but that’s 10 years ago, and here in 2025, Stratics hosts forums discussing illegal clients and third-party shards, which are a no-no per the TOS and per the original fan site TOS.
And that’s standard in the industry - back when Blizzard had a similar program. I had a site in their listing as well (and an UO fan site on the UO official listing) and it was made very clear that illegal third-party software and shards were forbidden. In fact, Blizzard even filed lawsuits against both tool and shard developers, and they are still involved in such lawsuits.
I made the suggestion on Stratics that they should ditch those forums discussing third-party clients and shards and then reach out to Kyronix. Those specific forums are pretty dead anyways and can’t be bringing in much traffic
Time to mend fences no matter who's to blame. I wanted to look at the vast wealth of info in tamers forum and couldn't it would be inexcusable to lose this history
